Pair of Top-10 finishes in MLRA action over Labor Day weekend

Saturday night saw Tony Jackson Jr. return with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the Ron Jenkins Memorial. In a field of 27 cars, Jackson Jr. secured his spot into the opening night feature with a fourth place finish in his heat. The following night at Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Mo.) for the Scottie 46, Tony recorded the seventh fastest time overall in qualifying before placing third in his heat. Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in seventh, Jackson Jr. suffered a flat tire in the 46-lap affair that dropped him back to an eighth place outing.

Tony sits in fourth in the latest MLRA point standings.
