Jackson competes with USMTS

Friday night saw Tony Jackson Jr. hop behind the wheel of his Merrill Bonding Co. No. 56 Modified for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned Summer Fling at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kan.). After placing eighth in his heat race, Tony was a scratch from his 18-lap consolation event.

The following night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the 12th annual Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout, Jackson’s sixth-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main. Needing to place sixth or better to make the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Tony recorded an 18th-place outing.
