Podium finish in MLRA stop at Davenport

Friday night saw Tony Jackson Jr. return to action at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned program. With a 10-lap heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Tony held onto a third-place finish in the 30-lapper after suffering a flat tire in the closing laps. He trailed Ricky Thornton Jr. and Tony Toste to the checkers with Garrett Alberson and Jeremiah Hurst rounding out the Top-5. (Mike Ruefer photo)

Mother Nature won the tour’s stop at West Liberty Raceway (West Liberty, Iowa) on Saturday.

Tony holds a 75-point advantage over Garrett Alberson atop the MLRA point standings.
