Jackson Jr. opens 2025 with Wild West Shootout feature starts
Tony Jackson Jr. took on 47-car Super Late Model fields on Saturday and Sunday during the opening two days of the 19th annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout. He kicked off the 2025 season with a pair of feature appearances in the event at Vado (New Mexico) Speedway Park.
On Saturday, Jackson drove his Schlup Enterprises No 56 Super Late Model to the fourth-quickest time in his group on the 3/8-mile oval. He went on to claim the runner-up spot in his heat race. He then rolled off seventh in the night’s 50-lap, $25,000-to-win feature and finished 14th after choosing the wrong tires.
Sunday saw Jackson qualify seventh in his group and finish third in his heat. He started 10th in the $10,000-to-win feature and came home 22nd at the conclusion of the 40-lapper.
