15th–place finish for Jackson Jr. at Springfield

Tony Jackson Jr. was part of a nearly 70-car Open Late Model field at Springfield (Missouri) Raceway on Saturday for Turkey Bowl XIX.

To open his night, Jackson started on the pole and took the checkered flag in his heat race behind the wheel of his Schlup Enterprises No. 56 machine. He rolled off 10th to start the 30-lap, $6,000-to-win main event and held a position in the top 10 for the first half of the race.

However, he faded late and finished 15th on the quarter-mile oval.
