Jackson Jr. follows MLRA to Wheatland

After Mother Nature washed out a tripleheader event a week prior, Tony Jackson Jr. returned with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) on Friday night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the two-day MLRA Spring Nationals. With a fifth-place finish in his heat race relegating him into the B-Main, Tony fell short of qualifying for the A-Main after he pulled off early in his consolation event with two circuits remaining. For the $7,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Jackson Jr. followed up an eighth-to-sixth run in his heat race with a B-Main victory. Rolling off 17th for the feature, Tony was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on lap 26.
