TJR competes in doubleheader in Land of Lincoln

After losing Wednesday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) to wet weather, Tony Jackson Jr. entered his Willard Quarries No. 56 Late Model into battle on Thursday evening for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. For the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series sanctioned program on Friday at the 3/8-mile oval, Jackson Jr. came in seventh in his heat before passing three cars in his B-Main to place third. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Tony was an early retiree on lap 14.
