Tony Jackson Jr. visits Tri-City Speedway for three-day event

After topping the 29-car field in time trials to claim the fast time honors, Tony suffered a broken carburetor while leading his heat race. With a consolation victory placing him on the 11th row for the preliminary feature, Jackson Jr. was an early retiree due to rough track conditions.

Returning to action on Saturday after losing Friday’s program to Mother Nature, Jackson laid down the fourth-fastest time in his group before placing first in his heat. Starting the $3,000-to-win finale in third, Tony was spun out by another competitor on the fifth lap that brought a disappointing end his weekend.
