Jackson Jr. takes on Hell Tour at Springfield
Lebanon, Missouri’s Tony Jackson Jr. traveled to Springfield (Missouri) Raceway on Tuesday evening to compete in a $5,000-to-win program during Week Two of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour.
His Superior Power No. 56 Late Model was among 27 DIRTcar entries at the quarter-mile oval.
Jackson set the third-quickest time in his group qualifying session and finished fourth in his heat race despite suffering a flat tire.
He rolled off 11th for the 40-lap feature and was running seventh with six laps to go, but another flat ultimately relegated him to a 16th-place result.
