Short night for Tony Jackson Jr. at Turkey Bowl

Tony Jackson Jr. raced in his home state on Saturday as the Missouri native traveled to Springfield (Mo.) Raceway for the Turkey Bowl XVII Larry Phillips Memorial.

Jackson, who hails from Lebanon in the Show-Me State, was one of 51 Open Late Model drivers at the quarter-mile track seeking the $5,075 winner’s share.

However, Jackson ran into trouble in his heat race and did not finish, recording a ninth-place result. He also was unable to make the call for his B-Feature.

Jackson concludes 2023 with one feature victory, three top-five finishes and four top-10 results.
