Jackson Jr. takes 7th in Hell Tour stop at Springfield
Tony Jackson Jr. raced with two series in two states during the last week in June and came away with his 17th top-10 finish of the season.
On Tuesday, Jackson competed among 45 Super Late Models in the DIRTcar Summer Nationals stop at the quarter-mile Springfield (Missouri) Raceway. In his first “Hell Tour” start of 2025, he took third in his heat race aboard his Schlup Enterprises No. 56 machine. He began the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature from the ninth position and finished seventh.
Jackson next competed on Saturday in the 29-car Hayden Ross Memorial at Muskogee, Oklahoma’s Thunderbird Speedway, after the Friday portion of the Sooner Late Model Series show was rained out.
He finished third in his heat race on the half-mile oval, putting him in the seventh spot to begin the $6,600-to-win main event. He fell back in the 20-lapper and recorded a 17th-place result.
